Planning Engineer. UK EPR Tasking

Ref no. 698/GOS.

ERS has a vacancy for a member of the UK Programme Management Office supporting the new build programme through the design and construction of the UK EPR fleet of nuclear power stations. Principally engaged in compiling schedules at programme level to include bringing together the various projects from other Company divisions. Liaising closely with client and assisting in developing the overall new build programme schedule necessary to support the design and construction of the UK EPR fleet of nuclear power stations. There may be some extended visits to France (Paris and Tours) as the programme develops.

Key Responsibilities

 

Be fully familiar with Conditions of Contract.

Prepare and establish the project planning system and procedures.

Ensure Planning and Scheduling requirements are incorporated into subcontract enquiries and evaluate responses.

Ensure timely development of an integrated (EPC) schedule baseline to the prescribed level of detail.

Establish the resource plan and project measurement systems.

Ensure project schedule is continually monitored, updated and reported against including forecasts and comparisons against baselines.

Implement earned value analysis (schedule and performance management).

Produce short term look-ahead schedules.

Prepare progress and status reports to the Company and their Client requirements.

Analyse schedule data and advise of potential delays.

Perform Schedule Risk Analysis, monitor risks, contingencies and implementation of risk control measures.

Provide advice and support to maintain progress and recommend corrective action where necessary.

Anticipate issues and have an influential role in recommending corrective action to the Project Manager.

Liaise with all project team members, departments, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. as required.

Assist in Implementing Change Control procedures and reporting.

Attend the regular Progress Review meetings.
