Lead Piping Engineer

An ERS Client is actively seeking a Lead Piping Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will be required to:

Technical Specification and Basis of Design preparation of piping systems designed to include static and dynamic stress analysis and Seismic designs.

Development of piping and pipe support material, fabrication and installation specifications.

Development and supervision of piping designs through all design stages: conceptual, preliminary, detailed engineering, construction.

Demonstrate an understanding of requirements for safety case criteria and its relevance in the nuclear industry.

Timely completion of all piping deliverables, specifications, drawings and technical requisitions within strenuous quality and safety criteria.

Leading and assisting in the career development of the Process Engineering Team.

Interfacing with other disciplines and the Company’s Project Management ensuring that the highest level of service is provided.

Providing assistance to the Business Development Department in the preparation and presentation of proposals.

Advise Engineering Management of required personnel necessary to maintain the project production/planning for their assigned project.

Ensure all work within their scope of responsibility is completed in accordance with the accepted project plan and within the work hour budget allocated.

Client liaison.

Attend all necessary progress meetings to ensure Project and Engineering Managers are fully aware of any problems affecting the productivity of the Group.

Ensure all documentation within the scope of their responsibility is prepared, checked, reviewed and approved in accordance with the company’s and clients Quality Systems.

Ensure all vendors bids and documentation are reviewed for technical acceptability.

Enhance the capability of the discipline by involvement with relevant technology trends via journals, papers and attendance at conferences.
