Team Leader, Severe Accidents Modelling & PSA Team

Reference: 24 – 0036

Vacancy for a Team Leader for Severe Accident Modelling and PSA, within the Safety and Performance Business. The work of the team includes assessing Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSAs,) carrying out detailed modelling of postulated severe reactor accidents, including release and dose calculations, fire modelling in confined spaces. This post has two direct reports: the Section Leaders of the Severe Accident Modelling and PSA Sections respectively. The post combines technical, project management and line management responsibilities.

Salary

£45k to £60k

Key Responsibilities

This post is a key leadership role within the Safety and Performance Business Area. The successful candidate will report to the Safety and Performance Business Manager.

Line management for staff within the Team.

The provision of independent Nuclear safety advice to major customers in the UK Nuclear sector.

Involvement in research tasks in the Nuclear sector.

Representing our Clients in technical meetings with their Clients and third parties.

Project management.

Identifying new business opportunities.

Leading/assisting with the production of contract proposals and bids.

Developing the technical capability and knowledge of the Section.

Pro-actively interacting with our Client’s customers.
