Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer

An ERS Client is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to hold an important role within the Mechanical Engineering department and the successful candidate will be expected to progress to Chief Engineer Rotating Equipment.

As a Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer work activities will include both project and proposal work for process plant and facilities across the Nuclear, Power, Chemical, Oil and Gas, Nuclear Defence and Pharmaceutical (Bio) sectors.

Competitive salary package, dependant on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

 

Development of methodologies.

Work scope split or interface definition.

Establishment of deliverables IT application usage and man-hour estimates.

Client presentations may be appropriate.

Resource allocation.

Lead engineering support of the schedule.

Workflow.

Man-hour spread.

Progress measurement.

Reviewing the design for compliance both formally and informally.

Approval of key documents as defined in company standards and project Quality plan.

Assisting the Mechanical Department Manager in:

Developing corporate procedures, standards, specifications and the required design tools for compliance with the HSE policy and efficient execution of production work.

Executing the recruitment strategy in line with the operating unit’s business plan and work with HR and external agencies to satisfy that strategy.

Liaising with other key nominated operating units to establish appropriate common working methods to support work share and best practices available Discipline interface operations is to be considered essential.

Defining the Development and Training needs for the discipline and for graduate development.
