Methods Officer

An ERS Client is seeking a Methods Officer to act as part of Architect Engineering Project Team, ensure Engineering methods adopted in the UK are consistent with Architect Engineering strategy.

Key Responsibilities


As a member of the Architect Engineering team, to support the development of an engineering plan (including engineering methods) for the UK EPR and to ensure the effective implementation of this in the engineering work being undertaken in the UK.

To manage the engineering documentation relating to the work being undertaken in the UK. Develop an understanding of the engineering process to be used by the Company on the UK EPR including the:

Role of the Architect Engineering organisation and also the lower level design organisations.

Role of Design Authority.

Overall engineering process from the systems functional specifications to the 3D model.

Responsibilities for layout co-ordination between the various design organisations.

Assist the Methods Officer based in Paris to develop a UK EPR engineering plan that identifies:

Engineering processes and methodologies for design tasks.

Relevant Codes and Standards.

Engineering documentation (ie the technical deliverables at each stage of the design process).

Verification processes including review by interfacing disciplines where applicable.

Oversee the implementation of this plan within the design tasks being undertaken in the UK.

Ensure the effective implementation of any changes to the plan. Feedback any difficulties arising from the plan, assist in resolving these and in revising the plan as necessary.
