Project Director

An ERS Client is actively seeking a Project Director. The successful candidate will have proven experience running complex projects in a safety critical environment (nuclear, power station, etc.) with a demonstrable track record of delivering results, managing people, project finances and reporting of progress to peers.

Contract rates negotiable depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

 

Excellent safety record with evidence of application of safety initiatives and high performance as evidenced by leading/ lagging indicators.

Track record of successful delivery of a major high capital value project/ portfolio to time, cost and quality.

Experience of delivering across the entire project lifecycle, concept through to commissioning and handover.

Experience of major construction projects (~£100M+).

Experience of manufacturing and assembly projects (~£100M+).

Experience of integration of multiple inter-dependent project deliverables spanning several disciplines.

Experience of developing and implementing procurement and contract management strategies.

Experience of achieving delivery of items requiring R&D input to time and budget.

Experience of delivery within a highly regulated environment (nuclear licensed site desirable).

Experience of delivering legal and regulatory requirements (stringent security restrictions, planning consents, safety cases, ALARP, Best Practicable Environmental Option and Best Practical Means approaches).

Experience of managing complex stakeholder interfaces (Regulators, sponsor, user group, client, local authorities, public interfaces).
