Quality Management Systems Engineer

ERS International Team have a Client who is actively seeking to appoint a Quality Management Systems Engineer, to be based in the Ukraine with the purpose of supporting the decommissioning of the ChNPP power plant.

Salary

 

7 months contract at £440 per day (option to extend for another 12 months) – flights and accommodation provided.

Key Responsibilities

 

The ChNPP appointed QMS Engineer reports to the Director of the PMU on all quality related issues concerning operation of the PMU QMS and the Quality Management of the pre-decommissioning projects.

In order to assist the Director in the management of the PMU and the projects, a flexible approach is required to ensure that the PMU is subject to continuous improvement and that change management is implemented within the PMU on a continuing basis.

The main activities of the QMS Engineer include:

To take the lead in implementing, maintaining and managing the ChPMU quality system.

Development and implementation of a PBMS in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.

Maintenance of ChPMU project quality procedures.

Arrange/conduct periodic audits of the ChPMU Quality system to ensure effectiveness of the system.

Arrange/conduct periodic audits of suppliers/sub-contractors activities, to ensure compliance with the QA requirements of the contract.

Conduct inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers/sub-contractors works (FAT).

Review and approve suppliers/sub-contractors Quality Assurance Plans and other project related documents.

Review and approve suppliers/sub-contractors Quality Plans (Inspection and Test Plans).

Prepare and review quality assurance sections of procurement documents (e.g. Technical Specifications).

Participate in Site Acceptance Tests as required.

Training of PMU staff in the application of the QMS.

Interface with ChNPP QA Department.
