Metallurgist

ERS has a Client who is looking for a metallurgist/materials scientist to join a world class corrosion research team working in the field of structural integrity.

Location

Warrington, Cheshire

Salary

£30k

Key Responsibilities

Providing support to materials test programmes.

Resolve any arising materials technical issues in the areas of materials selection, heat treatment, material properties, specification interpretation, materials processing, welding, etc.

Liaise with and monitor material suppliers and sub-contractors.

Interface with clients on materials related issues.

Task/project management to achieve the required quality, cost and timescales.

Operation of their specialised test facilities safely and to the agreed procedures.

Publication of appropriate work in internal reports and at external conferences or in technical journals.
