Mathematical Modeller

ERS has a Client who wishes to recruit a highly qualified and enthusiastic mathematical modeller to join the Waste Management and Environmental (WM&E) Business Area of Technical and Assurance Services. The successful candidate will relish the challenge of applying their skills to solving difficult mathematical and numerical problems for their customers.


Harwell, Oxfordshire


£25k to £40k

Key Responsibilities

Work on a range of projects: these might typically include hydrogeological modelling studies relating to waste disposal or contaminated land issues, gas generation and migration from radioactive waste facilities, modelling of flows in fractured rocks as part of their oil & gas consultancy, radiological risk analysis, or participating in the ongoing development of our codes.

Analysing problems, developing and implementing solutions by the application of mathematical modelling techniques.

Responsibility for specific tasks within a project and contributions to the presentation of results to customers.

Support other team members with business development activities.

Production of high quality technical reports on the outcome of your work.

Delivering your work to agreed timescales and cost.
