Corrosion Scientist

ERS have a Client who is looking for ambitious Scientists to join a world class corrosion research team. Their experimental and theoretical research is mainly in support of the nuclear industry. There is a particular emphasis on understanding and predicting corrosion processes arising during radioactive waste management. Their corrosion laboratories have an extensive range of modern facilities and their team of scientists and engineers are at the forefront of applied research in this field in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of projects involving both experimental and analytical components. Responsibilities include:

Preparation of commercially-costed proposals, definition of technical work activities, supervision and conduct of research programmes.

Development of novel experimental or analytical techniques.

Presentation of results and conclusions of studies to customers.

Publication of appropriate work at external conferences or in technical journals.

Operation and development of a small team of engineers and scientists.
