Head of Safety & Assurance

Ref No. 222/GIL. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Director, the Head of Safety & Assurance will be accountable for the growth and management of a health, safety, environmental and quality assurance capability based in the Thatcham office.




Excellent terms, negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Responsibilities

Development of relationships with senior levels of the Safety and Assurance community positioning the Company to maximise current and future opportunities.

Responsible for the recruitment of additional safety and assurance resources and establishment/management of supply chain partners.

Coordinate responses to client and project requests for safety and assurance resource, set and monitor financial targets of turnover and profitability.

Production of quotations, bids and tenders.

Formulate project safety strategies, and provide safety advice to project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

Oversee the execution of all aspects of safety and assurance support to the project(s).

Devise, and implement systems for monitoring and reporting progress against key performance indicators.

Act as first line manager for a team of personnel and take responsibility for performing annual assessments and salary reviews.

Provide mentoring and discipline lead in all aspects of safety and assurance.
