An ERS Client is actively seeking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to join the Operations and Maintenance Support Team which is a multi-disciplinary team providing a range of services to help stations achieve optimum performance and lifetime from physical assets without compromising safety or environmental regulations. Opportunities exist for a Lead Engineer with Reliability Engineering or Asset Management experience to contribute flexibly to the provision of these services for the existing fleet of UK Nuclear Power Stations and any future new build designs.

Job Responsibilities

Performance of System Health and System Safety Reviews for a wide range of Electrical, Mechanical, and Control & Instrumentation (C&I) equipment.

Support to Power Stations in the analysis and resolution of arising operational problems. This includes the analysis of system failures for root causes, the preparation of safety submissions, the authoring or verification of plant modifications.

Carrying out optioneering studies.

Review and development of preventive and predictive maintenance requirements for selected systems.

Production of System Lifetime Plans in support of Plant Lifetime Extension substantiation.

Development of Ageing Management processes for the AGR Fleet.
