ERS has a Client urgently seeking to appoint a Health Physicist in the Client’s laboratory services, to work closely with the corporate health physics team in support of their expanding laboratories. The successful applicant must be familiar with the control and management of radioactive materials and radiologically designated areas.
Excellent terms and competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience.
Administration, packing, health physics, monitoring, despatch and receipt of packages covered by the radioactive materials road transport regulations (Carriage of Dangerous Goods regulations).
Responsible for the updating of local rules and other radiological safety procedures (including risk assessments and radiological advice notes) with RPA approval.
Supervision of the day to day health physics activities within laboratory services.
The successful candidate will be working with a full time health physics monitor and support of the corporate Radiological protection service and associated Radiological Protection Adviser (training will be provided, where appropriate).
