Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible, as part of a team, for the design and development of novel hydrogen storage and delivery systems for nuclear warheads.

Aldermaston

Salary

Competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience

Job Responsibilities

To develop designs of hydrogen storage and delivery systems for possible future warheads.

This may include design and development, with some element of research, of hydrogen storage and delivery system components.

To ensure understanding and application of responsibilities with regard to company environment, health, safety, security and quality standards.

To produce CAD models of possible future hydrogen storage and delivery systems.

To analyse CAD models and recommend design improvements in areas such as manufacturability, mass – volume optimisation and safety.

To assist with the planning and implementation of a new hydrogen laboratory.

To assist with computer modelling associated with hydrogen storage and delivery system operation.
