CAD Modelling Engineer – Sub System Integration Specialist
Our client is seeking a CAD Modelling Engineer for a system engineering role with an initial primary function to develop and analyse 3D Electro-mechanical packaging concepts for electrical Warhead sub systems. CAD models will be developed for inclusion into Warhead concept models, as will packaging methodologies using systems engineering approaches and techniques, including extensive use of analysis and simulation to explore options in a virtual environment. To support Implementation and Integration activities for Warhead technology Sub Systems Integration (SSI). Manage, produce and work to technical specifications aligned to stakeholder requirements and promote Systems Engineering best practice through Design for Manufacture.

The delivery of Concept Tasks.
Enhancing electromechanical modelling capability for electrical subsystems.
Ensuring manufacturability of concepts.
To deliver SSI programme goals.
To identify and manage risks associated with SSI programme activities.
Support the provision of SSI strategies and technical guidance throughout the whole project life cycle.
Understand and discharge responsibilities with regard to the company’s security, quality, environment, safety and health standards.
Aiding the development of a 3D Electro-mechanical modelling capability, integrated with other CAD systems, specifically MCAD (Uni-graphics), PLM (Team Centre Engineering), rapid prototyping and process development.
Forge and maintain relationships with technical stakeholders in the acquisition and supply of Warhead Sub systems and Components.
Maintain awareness of Systems Engineering best practice and wider systems issues.
