Our client is seeking a Scientist to provide technical support to Physical Characterisation teams and provide, maintain and develop the company’s capabilities for the physical characterisation of explosive materials.
Competitive salary depending on qualfications and experience
Experimental and analytical method development including calibration and operation of complex analytical instrumentation.
Undertaking practical work to time (planned), quality and safety standards including interpretation and reporting of data.
Continuously develop specialist skills and expertise in physical characterisation methods.
(Maintaining an awareness of current literature and international research activities, managing or assisting with Extra-Mural Research contracts, maintaining capability for physical characterisation of explosive materials).
To achieve deadlines in support of programme or customer goals.
To ensure timely and accurate transfer of information from and to individuals with whom the post holder works.
To operate within the Company standards relating to Security, Quality, Environment, Safety and Health.
To contribute to a high standard of team safety awareness including participation in team safety meetings.
