Electrical Engineer (Pulse Power & EMP)

ERS have a Client seeking an Electrical Engineer (Pulse Power & EMP) to assist the Principal Electrical Engineer and take over responsibility for the pulse power system and EMP engineering for the Orion high power (peta-Watt) laser.

Salary

Competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience

Job Responsibilities

Technical leadership for the design, construction, testing and operation of a mega-joule capacitor bank pulse power system.

Technical leadership for EMP measurements and controls.

Management of contracts for pulse power and EMP equipment.

Planning of work and successful delivery to time and budget.

System design and specification.

Planning work, setting budgets and monitoring progress.

Preparation of RFP documents and evaluation of suppliers proposals.

Design verification and performance modelling Supervision of electrical equipment manufacturing, installation and testing.

Operation, maintenance and fault finding of electrical equipment and systems.

Management of electrical engineering team.

Compliance with company environment, health, safety, security and quality standards.
