Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Lead Project Manager on safety, finance, quality, audit and document maintenance matters
  • Ensure preparation and agreement of project programmes
  • Prepare capital works sanction approval submission documents in accordance with the Client’s processes
  • Organise and manage the project team assigned to successfully complete the project, and ensure all team members are fuly conversant with the project objectives and their roles and allocated responsbilities
  • Define the totalityof the specification for the work as identified in a Project Definition Document
  • Prepare and issue the Project Co-ordination Procedure
  • Ensure all phases of the project meet cost, schedule and quality requirements
  • Control and administer the flow of data and information within the Company and between the Company and the Client and other stakeholders, including regulators, supply chain partners and local and statutory authorities

Review Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) plans at Pre-tender and Construction phases for each project.
Ensure adequate arrangements are in place for the induction of site personnel on each project.
Undertake formal inspections of site activities on a weekly basis and provide recommendations to management and/or supervision, where necessary, on improving conditions when found to be below acceptable standards .
Undertake timely accident and incident investigations that occur on any site and provide findings to all relevant personnel within 24 hours.
Support management and supervision teams in implementing the project ESH arrangements.
Undertake education and/or training for the management and supervision teams in applicable ESH policies and procedures, as required from time to time.
Take immediate action on any imminent danger situations observed on any project and notify the CM of your actions and any necessary follow up actions.
Undertake specific activity reviews to establish that arrangements are in place and are working effectively.
Undertake, when required, structured audits of project H & S documentation and procedures.
To provide advice and assistance to the Facilities Manager when required.
Undertake daily site visits when necessary

8. Ensure that proper and consistent processes are followed by all contractors on disciplinary and grievance matters.

9. Maintain and develop the site agreement to ensure it remains relevant and fit for purpose during the life cycle of the major projects work.

10. Liaise with the relevant external bodies eg the Employers Associations, the Trade Unions and the various other custodians of the joint agreements which apply at site.
