Boiler / Test Rig Chargehand

Location: Renfrew, Scotland

Staff/Perm position

Salary: negotiable according to related experience

Working primarily on  Multi-fuel Burner Test facility at our clients site at Renfrew; the successful candidate should have significant experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial boilers and auxillary equipment. The applicant should also have good working knowledge of current health and safety and environmental control environments.

The purpose of the role is to work primarily on the client’s Multi-fuel Burner Test Facility at Renfrew. The facility is part of the R&D Centre and one of the largest and leading edge combustion research facilities in the world.

Key Duties will include:

Plant operational responsibilities during test programmes.

Running routine and planned maintenance programmes and facility modification programmes.

Supervising Sub-contractors.

Overseeing safety induction and instructing junior staff.

The successful applicant should have significant experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial boilers and auxilllary equipment such as draught plant, fuel supply and water treatment systems. Good working knowledge of current health and safety and environmental control requirements is also required.
